2nd Annual Student Technology Conference!
The second annual Student Technology Conference, a free one-day online event bringing together students, educators and innovators from around the world, will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 9 Am to 9 Pm EST. All are invited to attend!
The Student Technology Conference provides an international forum for the presentation, discussion and sharing of educational technology in schools and other academic settings. This conference, by students in grades 6-12 as well as colleges and universities and for all, is committed to:

Fostering a better understanding of how students use technology in education and to engage students, teachers and administrators in a conversation about technology.

Assisting teachers and administrators in understanding how students use technology both in and out of the classroom.

Strengthening the relationship between students, teachers and administrators about technology in the curriculum.
Last year’s conference featured more than twenty general sessions and four keynote addresses from all over the world with over 500 participants!

The NYSCATE 2014 Annual Conference will be the biggest and brightest.
New logo, new workshops, new initiatives will engage attendees and enhance their learning experience to bring back to students. Airigami will create a huge structure from balloons during the Maker Faire that will be enjoyed during the entire conference.
Some of the new initiatives are the Maker Faire and EdCamp and Start Up Weekend in addition to all of the awesome workshops and pre-conference workshops that are offered every year! The vendor floor is full, the entertainment is planned, and the conference registration fee includes all meals!
Pre-Conference Workshops – 14 professional development opportunities with presenters from New York, Norway, and Rochester Institute of Technology! This year we have 2 and 4 hour workshop options.

Strengthening Classrooms and Communities Through Mentorship and Scholarship
On December 20, 2012, 36 TSTT students from the Western New York Region (Rochester CSD, Churchville Chili, West Irondequoit, & Geneva) attended a Technology Conference to learn new technology skills to aid them in their quest to becoming a teacher. The students attended the conference held at St. John Fisher College for a day of learning about iPads/Mobile Devices, Online Classrooms, Instructional Multimedia, and Smartboards/Student Response Systems. TSTT has been successfully working in Rochester City and Monroe County since 2004 and in 2009 it began operations in the Utica, NY School District.
